Frequently Asked Questions
Take a look at my most frequently asked questions below, and if you can't find an answer to your question, please drop me a quick email at info@lgavirtualassist.co.uk
What happens if you're not local to my business?
I'm based in the beautiful Ribble Valley, in North West Lancs, but work virtually so location isn't really relevant. I don't encourage face to face meetings if you live out of area, as this can be costly for you – I will charge for travel and any time spent away from the office – there isn't anything that can't be done via email or via remote meetings if you need it.
If you need someone to work at your office, then maybe I'm not the right business match for you this time. If you're happy to work virtually in the future, I'll be here for you.
I can't see a particular service I need help with on your website.
If you can't see a specific service you require, please just get in touch. It's likely I can can help and if I really can't do the task you're asking for, I will definitely know someone who can!
Is there a minimum commitment?
The minimum is just one hour a month.
I recommend you start on an ad hoc basis if you’ve not worked with a VA before because we work efficiently so will do less hours than you might think to get your work done.
Retainers are available at the same rate but means your tasks are turned around within 24-48 hours. Ad hoc may take up to 72 hours.
What's the notice period
to stop using your services?
There is no notice period. That's just one more reason to have a VA rather than an employee. I just ask that you let me know you no longer require my services, rather than ghosting me ;-)
If you want to stop working with me because you’re unhappy for any reason, then you’re invited to discuss this with me so I can have the opportunity to address any issues.
What about confidentiality?
This is so important to me. I regularly ensure that everything is secure and up-to-date in terms of spyware, malware, anti-virus etc.
I can encrypt and password protect documents if required. I am registered with the ICO for Data Protection purposes, am compliant with GDPR and regularly review my processes.
No physical documents are stored; everything is electronic. Any documents that are printed will be shredded and disposed of securely.
I ensure that data is kept safe and secure, and am happy to sign any Confidentiality/ Non-Disclosure Agreements etc.
